Sharing our proposed plans for significant investment in our estate over the next 10 years

We are proud to share the progress and successes achieved so far, and invite you to explore our vision and plans for the future of Bicester Motion.
Since its formation in 2013, Bicester Motion has been a centre of excellence for the past, present and future of automotive technology and home to more than 50 specialist businesses. Our home is the only campus of its kind in the world.
We are resolutely focused on continuing to deliver a home for mobility pioneers and accelerating the world’s adoption of the latest and innovative technologies. We are investing in our vision to build a transformational location and are inviting co-creators to join us. It is our intention to submit an outline application later in the year following the public exhibition.
We present our considered masterplan as an evolution of our existing secured consent. We believe that it remains true to our proud custodianship of this historic site.
We recognise our important role in the community and welcome feedback on our plans. We welcome you to attend our public consultation event on Friday 12th June. Your views can also be shared with us directly by using the Contact Us form on this site.
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE OF AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY
In 2013, Bicester Heritage was established as a distinctive hub of historic automotive specialist businesses on what was once the RAF Bicester’s ‘Technical Site’. Now part of the wider Bicester Motion estate, this venture rapidly evolved into a vibrant cluster, captivating enthusiasts with unique events such as the Scramble open day that attracts visitors from all over the UK and world. It has fostered an environment for commercial opportunities, skilled employment, training and knowledge exchange.
Today, it houses more than 50 enterprises, including the UK headquarters for Audi Revolut F1, Motorsport UK (the UK’s governing body for British motorsport), research and development, office spaces, artisanal workshops, expert engineering facilities and pristine showrooms. These are supported by a broad range of amenities including cafes, overnight accommodation, vehicle valeting and storage, specialist retail, insurance, events and apprenticeship training.
The estate will very soon be more accessible to the wider community with the opening of a new two-level electric karting centre inside restored Hangar 137. This addition will bring energy, employment, opportunity and experience ensuring Hangar 137 once again becomes a place of movement and ambition.
